IGP and POLAS Support Treatment and Rehabilitation for Drug and Alcohol Abuse.


The Inspector-General of Police, Mr. James Oppong-Boanuh and the Police Ladies Association (POLAS), have donated assorted items worth over Thirty Thousand Ghana Cedis (Gh₵ 30,000.00) and cash amount of Ten Thousand Ghana Cedis (Gh₵10,000.00) to the St Francis Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre, at Ashiaman. The items included 50 pieces of mattresses, assorted food items, detergents, toiletries and hand sanitizers.

The donation was led by COP Mrs. Beatrice Vib-Sanziri, Director-General MTTD and POLAS President. Also present were ACP Rev. Mrs. Laurencia W. Akorli, Director of the Community Policing Unit and Chief SUPOL Mrs. Susuana Adjei, Adjei Kojo District Commander and other police ladies from national police headquarters and Tema police regional command.

They were received by Rev. Fr. Eric Nketia Kabenlah, Director of the Centre and Walter Damien Asooh, Manager of the Centre, both of whom expressed profound gratitude to the Police Administration and POLAS for the donation.
